Another Italian rumour up next as the August edition of Xbox 360 magazine gives us an idea of how they plan to compete even further with Sony.
The magazine is teasing the release of an external Blu-ray drive for the Xbox 360 console.
If this rumour is indeed true then it could put even more weight behind Microsoft’s desire to slow the PS3’s rising momentum after its price drop in August picked up a lot of publicity. This isn’t the first time a Blu-ray drive has been suggested for the Xbox 360 but seems to be a fairly likely suggestion should Microsoft want to cut the Blu-ray advantage away from Sony/
The magazines rumour did not explain whether this will be solely for viewing high-definition movies or an add on for increasing disk space too.
The Blu-ray drive would most likely be a simple add-on for the console as the idea of segmenting the Xbox users is completely insane and a step in the wrong direction.
