GTA V - Trailer Breakdown

Have you seen the GTA 5 trailer yet…? If not why not?

The trailer itself is amazing so I suggest you view this at the below link before reading on as I will be outlining exactly what I noticed. Expect to be blown away by some amazing graphics and possibly a few spoilers too.

Of course the trailer is one of the best we have ever seen and gives us just a hint of what we can expect. The trailer itself raises more questions then we already had but gives us a healthy idea of what the future of the franchise holds.

The first notable point is that the colour palette has been expanded with a much more vibrant feel then GTA 4. The world looks varied and has a brilliant return in the countryside setting. Liberty City was never this green.... The whole world seems to be expanded with Mt. Chilead making it's return, From beaches to mountains the world looks immense.

For those of you who want to know the song used in the trailer is by 'The Small Faces'. Obviously we will be running around San Andreas again but we don't yet know who we will be in the shoes of.The trailer gives us a glimpse of three characters that look like Carl, Nike and Tony although we've never used the same character before.

You can buy houses and of course steal a ride. One of which appears to have an automatic roof. It also appears as if the ability to fly plains is in. Rockstar have previously confirmed the addition of Hydraulics too which will be a warmly welcomed. Hookers are also back - more bouncing cars. Another welcome return appears to be the mini games. Missing from some previous outings these brilliant time wasters have cost me a lot of hours.

The game is still following in the realistic effort used for GTA 4 with grimy streets and tough subjects. It appears as if the protagonist is looking to become a “good guy” and a “family man”, so you can probably look forward to many Niko-like moral dilemmas.

Overall the whole game looks to have had a visual overhaul. Lets me know what you think in the comments section below….? Is there anything else you have noticed?
